| 摘要： | The paper describes some of the planning techniques used to analyze the need for intelligent transportation systems (ITS) as part of a corridor study conducted for the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). The I-64 Study is one example of where a traditional planning study was modified to incorporate specific analytical and modeling procedures necessary to evaluate ITS improvements. The purpose of this paper is to provide ideas and suggestions on how one might integrate ITS and traditional planning practices. |
