摘要：	The report summarizes construction activities of the design-build project, 'IR (CX)70-4(143)' in Region I. Under the Special Experimental Project No. 14 (SEP 14), FHWA approved the design-build concept to be used for the 12-mile reconstruction of I-70 from Airpark Road East. Included in the report is an overview of the significant events, results of a survey questionnaire on design-build methodology, a discussion of construction modification orders (CMO) and quality control/quality assurance processes. The ultimate goal of this research study is to identify and document the pros and cons of the design-build practice and examine its overall applicability to CDOT. A required by FHWA, CDOT will continue monitoring the progress of this design-build project until its completion. A final report documenting pre-construction and construction activities will be presented 90 days after the completion of the project.
