| 摘要： | The last 15 months have been an extremely challenging time for civil engineering contractors, as they have been for most industries, along with the whole of the UK population. CECA represents the bulk of those companies that build and maintain the UK's public infrastructure. We have 300 members, covering 80% of all UK civil engineering activity, and our members support the employment of over 200,000 people with annual activity worth £25bn. When COVID-19 broke out, our first thought as a membership organisation was how can we prioritise our support to members in protecting their workforce and, of course, the wider public? Once those strategies were agreed and put into place, our focus undoubtedly switched to supporting our members in continuing to deliver the world class infrastructure we so desperately need in the middle of an unprecedented global public health event. |
