| 摘要： | The Society Trustee Board has met on two occasions since the last update in the previous edition of this newsletter. The Board met on 8 December 2020 and 26 January 2021. During these two meetings the Board made the following decisions: 1. To establish an Improvement Working Group (IWG) under the leadership of President Elect, Adam Fraser-Hitchen, to consider what changes the Society should put in place to ensure that the needs of members and the professional sectors are better served while still ensuring that the Society maintains its charitable focus on delivering public benefit 2. To approve the Society business plan for 2021 3. To approve an interim approach to branding that confirms the IRTE as the lead brand in any activity related to the UK road transport sector. This reflects the recognition and strength of the IRTE brand in this important sector 4. To approve a proposal to maintain the current approach to printed publications in 2021 of a monthly printed copy of Transport Engineer and a quarterly printed copy of Operations Engineer 5. To approve a proposal for the Trustee Board to meet six times in 2021 instead of four times 6. To approve the terms of reference for the Environmental sector professional sector committee 7. To pause the transition of the IPlantE sector to the Operations sector 8. To approve the terms of reference for a Diversity Panel to be established in 2021 to support the development and improvement of diversity and inclusion across the Society. |
