The relaxation of Covid restrictions in England on May 17 allowed the Beamish open-air museum to resume using buses to transport visitors around the site with both of its preserved Daimler double-deckers in service. On that first day, Rotherham Corporation Weymann-bodied CVG6 220 (KET 220) from May 1954 stands in front of Darlington Corporation Roe-bodied CCG5 4 (304 VHN) of March 1964 at The Entrance. While the buses do the complete circuit, passengers have to disembark at the start of The Town to allow for cleaning and can rejoin at The Bandstand stop. |
