Trolleybuses returned to the streets of the Ukrainian city of Kherson in April after war-damaged overhead was repaired, according to the country's Electric Passenger Transport News website. Twenty trolleybuses ply three lines daily from 07:20 to 17:30. The fleet has been reduced from 40-45 trolleybuses following the Russian occupation of the city from early March to November 9 last year. Before the war, trolleybuses were used on seven routes. After the Ukrainian liberation of the city, the trolleybus depot became one of the targets for Russian shelling, and some trolleybuses were damaged. The resumption of operations brings the number of working trolleybus systems in Ukraine back up to 36, including the system in Kiev, which is one of the largest in the world. |
