摘要: THE FINAL OBJECTIVE IS TO DEVELOP A SIMPLE AND REALISTIC METHOD OF CALCULATING "FLEXIBLE" WALLS (SHEET PILE WALLS - SLURRY TRENCH WALLS) BASED ON RESULTS OF THEORETICAL STUDIES (FINITE ELEMENTS) AND ON OBSERVATIONS MADE ON REAL STRUCTURES. IT IS ENVISAGED IN 1979: (1) TO CARRY OUT AN IN-DEPTH ANALYSIS OF FINITE ELEMENT TWO-DIMENSIONAL CALCULATIONS ALREADY MADE FOR A NUMBER OF STRUCTURES AND TO CONDUCT A PARAMETER STUDY IN IDEAL SOIL (ELASTIC THEN ELASTO-PLASTIC). THE VALIDITY OF THE NOTIONS OF MODULUS OR REACTION CURVE WILL BE EXAMINED, (2) TO CRITICALLY EXAMINE ULTIMATE DESIGN CALCULATION METHODS AND METHODS USING THE "REACTION MODULUS", (3) TO STUDY THE STABILITY OF THE WHOLE SYSTEM: WALL/ANCHORAGE/REAR SOIL MASS (INFLUENCE OF PRESTRESSED ANCHORAGE RODS).
