THIS IS THE RESUMPTION OF A THEME WHICH IN THE PAST DEALT WITH THE STUDY OF THE STABILIZATION OF THE SOIL WITH LIME AND/OR CEMENT AND WHICH LED TO THE DRAFTING OF A "RECOMMENDATION FOR THE IN-SITU STABILIZATION OF FINE SOIL WITH LIME" AND THE PUBLICATION OF NUMEROUS ARTICLES IN THE "BULLETIN DE LIAISON". IT IS PROPOSED TO STUDY TWO OTHER ASPECTS: (1) THE STABILIZATION OF GRAVEL-CLAYEY SOIL WITH HYDRAULIC BINDERS, THE GRADING OF THE SOIL GIVING RISE TO PROBLEMS IN THE THEORETICAL STUDIES AND AT THE CONSTRUCTION STAGE. FIRST, ONLY THEORETICAL STUDIES WILL BE CONDUCTED, USING MATERIALS OF TYPE B5 (D LESS THAN OR EQUAL TO 50 MM) AND C2 (D LESS THAN OR EQUAL TO 250 MM) USING METHODS ALREADY DEVELOPED. (2) SURFACE TREATMENTS FOR WATERPROOFING FOR WHICH THERE ARE NO REFERENCES AT THE MOMENT AS REGARDS EARTHWORKS. SIMULTANEOUSLY A BIBLIOGRAPHIC SEARCH WILL BE CONDUCTED, ASSOCIATED TO LABORATORY INVESTIGATIONS. FULL-SCALE TESTS WILL BE CARRIED OUT ON SAND D1 (STABILIZED OR NOT WITH CEMENT), ON GLACIAL MORAINES (STABILIZED OR NOT WITH LIME), AND ON CLEAN GRAVEL D2. |
