THE RESEARCH IS CONCERNED WITH THE STRENGTH DEVELOPMENT OF LIME TREATED SAMPLES AND ITS RELATION TO DAMP STORAGE TIME AND TEMPERATURE DURING THE DAMP STORAGE TIME. THE OBJECT IS TO SHORTEN THE 28 DAY DAMP STORAGE PERIOD AT 20 DEG C BY STORING THE SAMPLES AT A TEMPERATURE OF 30 TO 40 DEG C. STRENGTH DEVELOPMENT DURING THE SHORTENED PERIOD IS TO CORRESPOND TO THAT OF THE PREVIOUS 28 DAY PERIOD. THE STRENGTH OF THE LIME TREATED SOIL SAMPLES IS TO BE DETERMINED ON FOUR SOILS BY MEANS OF UNIAXIAL COMPRESSION TESTS AND CBR TESTS. |
