THE STUDY OF LATERAL SHOCK GAVE A BETTER KNOWLEDGE OF INJURY MECHANISM IN THIS TYPE OF SHOCK. TO ENVISAGE BETTER PROTECTION, IT IS NECESSARY TO OBTAIN HUMAN TOLERANCE VALUES FOR THIS TYPE OF SHOCK. THIS RESEARCH AIMS AT OBTAINING A BETTER KNOWLEDGE OF THE HUMAN TOLERANCE TO SHOCKS ACCORDING TO THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF WORKING GROUP NO 4 OF THE EUROPEAN EXPERIMENTAL SAFETY VEHICLE COMMITTEE. THE LIMIT VALUES OF PARAMETERS SUCH AS FORCE OR ACCELERATION TOLERATED BY THE PELVIS AND FEMUR IN LATERAL SHOCK WILL BE STUDIED IN CIRCUMSTANCES AS SIMILAR AS POSSIBLE TO THOSE OF A REAL ACCIDENT. |
