THE OBJECT OF THE WORK IS TO DETERMINE THE BEARING AND DEFORMATION BEHAVIOUR OF SKEW REINFORCED CONCRETE SLABS BY MEANS OF CALCULATIONS, TAKING ACCOUNT OF REALISTIC MATERIAL LAWS FOR CONCRETE AND STEEL WHEN THE CONCRETE IS CRACKED. THE EFFECT OF THE POSITIONING AND QUANTITY OF THE REINFORCEMENT, THE SKEWNESS OF THE SLAB AND THE TYPE OF BEARINGS ON THE BEARING CAPACITY OF THE SLAB ARE TO BE EXAMINED. RESULTS SHOULD PROVIDE CONCRETE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE DESIGN OF SKEW SLABS. |
