DEVELOPMENT OF A MODEL FOR THE SHORT-TERM ANALYSIS OF EVOLUTION IN ROAD SAFETY |
摘要: |
THE AIM OF ANALYTICAL MODELS IS TO DETECT IN GOOD TIME A FALL IN SAFETY ON THE ROADS WITH A VIEW TO TAKING REMEDIAL MEASURES AS RAPIDLY AS POSSIBLE. THIS MODEL HAS NO EXPLANATORY OBJECTIVE. IT IS INTENDED TO VERIFY WHETHER THE SHORT-TERM TENDENCY IN ROAD ACCIDENTS IS IN STATISTICAL AGREEMENT WITH MEDIUM-AND LONG-TERM TENDENCIES, THUS SHOWING AN IMPROVEMENT OR DETERIORATION; IT DOES NOT PURPORT TO FORECAST THE CURRENT EVOLUTION. THE OBJECT OF THIS RESEARCH IS TO DEVELOP A MODEL TO BE USED EVERY THREE MONTHS AND TO RELATE THE EVOLUTION IN THE NUMBER OF ACCIDENTS AND CASUALTIES TO TRAFFIC DENSITY AND WEATHER CONDITIONS. |
