| 摘要： | Although data provide opportunities to facilitate decision making at transportation agencies, there are challenges involved in managing large and diverse data that serve multiple business needs. These challenges are manifested in various aspects of data management, such as data quality assurance, integration, and access. NCHRP Synthesis 508 - Data Management and Governance Practices provides information on current practices in data governance, data warehousing and cloud computing, data integration and sharing, and data quality assurance. This information can be used by transportation agencies to learn about and ultimately advance the current state of the practice in transportation data management and governance. NCHRP Project 20-44(48) will hold two peer exchanges that each bring together both the contributors to the original synthesis and the users of the completed synthesis. These participants will have a robust discussion about (on the contributors' side) progress in their data management and governance practices - how they have progressed, or why they have not; have they achieved any expanded maturity as a result of their experience in the study, and on the users of the research, how have they expanded capacity, improved their process (or why not) based on the produced report. |
