| 摘要： | Automated vehicles are expected to affect various segments of the US workforce. The trucking industry is moving towards adopting automated trucks to improve delivery times and safety of their employees and improve efficiency of the truck freight movements. However, the exact impact of vehicle automation and truck platooning in the truck workforce is not known to date. Therefore, the objective of this study is to investigation the expected impacts of truck automation in the trucking industry of Kansas and offer recommendations to the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) administration with respect to alleviating any negative impacts of truck automation. |
