| 摘要： | The purpose of this research project is to understand more thoroughly these challenges and opportunities and to generate corresponding policy recommendations for Pace and other transportation partners. Specific research objectives include the following: document the state of pedestrian planning and policy-making in Northeastern Illinois as they relate to transit access, identify potential resources and funding opportunities, examine the strategies and practices of peer transit agencies with respect to pedestrian planning, and suggest short- and long-term strategies for constructing pedestrian infrastructure in the Pace service area. |
