Implementation of ODOT Tack Coat Technologies and Procedures to Improve Long-Term Pavement Performance
摘要:
This research will have six major objectives: i) implement Oregon Field Torque Tester (OFTT) (developed in SPR 782 Coleri et al. 2017) as a tool to monitor the long-term post-construction tack coat performance; ii) implement Oregon Field Tack Coat Tester (OFTCT) (SPR 782) as a tool to be used for quality control during construction; iii) improve and implement Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) wheel tracking device and smart phone app (SPR 782) to reduce tracking; iv) test and evaluate the performance of new tack coat types that are tracking less; v) develop an imaging and weighing system to measure tack coat application uniformity; and vi) develop guidelines for distributor truck certification and control.
