摘要: A series of aerodynamic flow-field surveys were conducted in the test section of the NASA Glenn Research Center Icing Research Tunnel. Several types of flow survey probes and mounting hardware were used to provide detailed information on the test section flow quality in terms of total and static pressure, total temperature, flow angularity and turbulence. These data will form the baseline data set for the facility and will be compared with data collected following proposed facility modifications (new spray bar systems and new heat exchanger). Detailed surveys were conducted at one station in the test section (typical research test plane). The data indicated that the pressure and Mach number variations over the survey plane were within specified goals over most of the operating airspeed range, although the flow angularity and total temperature goals were not met at many conditions.
