We continued our studies on the safety and dilemma zone issues at signalized intersection. Dilemma zone is an area where motorists can neither stop before stop line comfortably to pass the intersection safely at the yellow onset. It is a leading cause for crashes and casualties at intersections. To improve the safety at intersection, the research team developed a series of researches on how to better protect those vehicles caught in the dilemma zone.
