摘要：	ITE Journal spoke to TTI and TxDOT about the process and the importance of engaging the community-especially in rural areas-on issues of funding, safety, and the overall improvement of transportation in this area. ITE Journal: Can you briefly describe the partnerships with ARRPO, TxDOT, and TTI in development and delivery of these planning workshops-what were the roles that each played? TTI: In the past, the TxDOT San Antonio District has actively participated in ARRPO planning activities to provide them with information related to TxDOT planning and development processes. The San Antonio District has provided updates on legislative sessions, in coordination with TxDOT's Legislative Affairs Office and provided information on many of the department's programs such as the County Transportation Infrastructure Program, Transportation Alternatives Program, and the Highway Safety Improvement Program. ARRPO is a good forum to educate local elected officials on different initiatives that are going on statewide.
