| 摘要： | This study developed a practical method to quantify costs and benefits associated with optimizing traffic signal timing plans. A benefit analysis tool (BAT) was developed for calculating the differences between existing and optimized traffic signal timing plans by interfacing the SYNCHRO results. A corridor for which data was recently collected and available is used as a case study to demonstrate the application of BAT. Results showed substantial benefit in reducing signal delay, fuel consumption, and vehicular emission. |
