| 摘要： | However, a number of high-profile events, including fundamental breakdowns in FAA oversight at Southwest Airlines (SWA), have raised legitimate concerns about the effectiveness of FAA's overall approach to safety oversight and what changes are needed. These concerns have been amplified by the fact that airlines have grounded nearly 700 aircraft since FAA began industry-wide assessments of compliance with safety directives. There is an urgent need to assess what went wrong, identify root causes, and proactively examine how to maintain and ultimately enhance the margin of safety. |
