| 摘要： | This report represents the results of our audit on the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Airspace Redesign (NAR) program, the Agency efforts to improve the efficiency of the National Airspace System by redesigning the Nations airspace. FAAs airspace redesign efforts are important to enhance capacity and meet the demand for air travel, which is rebounding to levels experienced in 2000. We periodically met with FAA officials responsible for managing airspace redesign efforts, including the Program Director for Air Traffic Airspace Management and the Acting Director of Systems Operations and Safety, and we have incorporated their comments as appropriate. The Vice President for Systems Operations within FAAs new Air Traffic Organization is now responsible for airspace redesign efforts. |
