摘要：	At the time of this publication, the City of Austin will begin to collect funds through the SIF program. The city will grow by several thousand people this month, and congestion continues to inch closer to pre-pandemic levels. In advance of the funds becoming available for construction of SIF projects, ATD staff will head into the project development phase to design the projects that meet the identified city mobility goals. And while state law has not evolved to allow a direct match to the city's mobility priorities, the identified projects in each service area will contribute to a safe, sustainable, and multimodal transportation network. Many challenges await in the delivery of the individual projects and a successful program, including re-evaluation of the prioritization matrix, other changes to both the land use and transportation networks, and a better understanding of the revenue generated by the SIF; however, this is an opportunity to provide the options for dependable travel that Austinites have clearly stated they desire as the city continues to grow.
