A new President and a refreshed and reformed Trustee Board are now in place as the Society moves up a gear into the next stage of its 2030 strategy.Former Fleet Engineer and SOE Trustee John Eastman EngTech CEnv FSOE FIRTE (pictured, right) succeeds outgoing President Adam Fraser-Hitchen CEng FSOE, while Shaun Stephenson EngTech FSOE FIRTE (pictured, far right) takes on the role as Chair.The "change phase" of the 2030 Strategy is now complete and Eastman is keen that members are aware of the details of that process and the thinking behind it.Eastman said: "This past year has been one of change and progress for the Society and seen the organisation move to a much stronger, more agile position. There have been challenges, which often accompany change."However, I believe we can now look forward to a prosperous future of membership growth and improved industry support."At the start of 2022, the Trustee Board took the decision to restructure the Head Office (HO) team - a move Eastman said will ensure that the membership has more involvement in strategy and implementation. |
