The RATP Dev UK / Transit Holdings joint venture (Look in on London November 2021) commenced operations on December 11. The joint venture runs over 1,200 buses from 10 garages and brings together London United, London Sovereign and Tower Transit's Westbourne Park operation. Legal lettering was quickly changed to reflect the new ownership and the former Tower Transit fleet has been renumbered, on paper at least, in a common series with that of London United and London Sovereign. Initially, however, buses have continued to operate with their Tower Transit fleetnames and numbers. The joint venture has launched a refreshed website featuring its new logo. The legal lettering on Tower Transit's remaining vehicles has been changed to Lea Interchange garage, its sole remaining operation. Tower Transit's parent company, the Australian SeaLink Travel Group, has changed its name to Kelsian Group Limited. Announcing the change, group CEO Clint Feuerherdt said the company has significantly diversified and this is not accurately represented by the previous title. He highlighted that 'Kelsian' is an anagram of SeaLink. |
