| 摘要： | The Transport Museum Wythall has launched an appeal to rebuild and restore Midland Red 4482 (XHA 482), which it says is the only surviving BMMO D7 double-decker with a viable restoration opportunity. The museum estimates that it will require around £75,000 to return the 66-year old 63-seater to original condition. Although it is in good mechanical order, a cosmetic restoration for the Midland Red centenary in 2004 did not address deterioration of the structure of its Metro-Cammell body which needs to be replaced and rebuilt before it can be taken off static display and returned to regular use on Wythall's free bus services. |
