Freshly repainted at the end of a lengthy restoration at the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum is Eastern Scottish AA43A (CSG 43C), an ECW-bodied Bristol Lodekka FLF6G new in 1965. It was in a batch of 25, all with Gardner 6LX engines, in what turned out to be the Edinburgh-based company's penultimate delivery of new Lodekkas. Owner Eraser McKay has restored it to the livery and advertising it carried when overhauled in 1977/78, around a year before the Scottish Bus Group introduced a standard design of fleetname for its subsidiaries. |
