摘要：	Time is running out! The present end-date for the government's bus fares subsidy is closing in on cheap travel opportunities, just as the longer, warmer days of early summer are making them even more attractive. What can we do to extend the benefits of the one, and enjoy the full potential of the other? As a bus user, I feel that my options are twofold: campaign for a further extension, while making the best possible practical use of existing bus services under the present fare conditions. Here, I want to focus upon the second of these courses of action, by proposing the following light-hearted challenge for Buses readers, whether retired or of working age, and either as individuals or in the company of others. With the website of your local bus operator open in front of you (or their printed timetable if it exists) place a map of your area next to it, and then proceed to create a roughly circular bus journey from your home, to be completed via a series of separate stages on a designated free day of your own choice (avoid a Sunday!). Aim to restrict yourself to around ten hours of travel, and build in a good break for lunch (packed!).
