| 摘要： | Friends of King Alfred Buses (FoKAB) has made a significant addition to its 15-vehicle collection with the purchase of a fully restored Hampshire-registered 1929 Leyland Lion LSC3 which is to be repainted in the green and cream livery of Winchester-based King Alfred Motor Services. Leyland-bodied RU 8678 was new to Hants & Dorset Motor Services in January 1929 as its 268 and will eventually be restored to that operator's different green and cream livery in time for the celebration of the bus's centenary in 2029. In the meantime, it will demonstrate the look and feel of OT 8609, a near identical Leyland-bodied Lion new to King Alfred the same year, and is expected to be the star attraction at the FoKAB running day in Winchester on May 1. |
