摘要: As I bid farewell to the Cupra Born it's time to reflect on the way its technology makes this electric car very easy to live with. In doing so, I'll make a confession - it wasn't until about four months into driving the Born that I downloaded Cupra's app. Dealership staff handing over Cupra Born should absolutely recommend to buyers that they use the app. Being able to remotely switch on the heating/cooling, remind yourself of the battery level, and customise the charging settings is such a huge convenience. And, once inside the car, the infotainment system is comprehensive too. Owners can define charging routines, monitor their driving efficiency, and set up separate driver accounts to save their own preferences if the car is being used by a spouse. Having Android Auto makes journeys stress-free too; I've tended to use Google Maps more frequently than the Born's built-in navigation, and the car, generally, understands verbal commands well. The built-in system does have some useful features though, in that it can highlight charging points and, through Cupra Connect, it delivers real-time route updates that reflect traffic build-up and road closures.
