Decarbonisation, digitalisation and diversification were all on the agenda for the second E&E Event, held in Vienna on 14-15 November 2022. While the perception among many is that the roads sector is old-fashioned and unwilling to change, there were plenty of examples of innovation and transformation - and a call from a group of young leaders to speak up about them. Organised jointly by Eurobitume, which represents bitumen producers, and the European Asphalt Pavement Association (EAPA) which represents national associations and equipment and materials suppliers, the E&E Events aim to focus on challenges and trends for the bitumen and asphalt industry. They are held every four years, in-between the more technically focussed E&E Congresses. |
