摘要: A Simex TFV vertical drum cutter is being used for cropping reinforced concrete piles at a construction site in Genoa, Italy. The work is being carried out by a local contractor Neocos. The project is for a new road network located on the left bank of the Polcevera. The new links to divert the traffic flow to the San Giorgio bridge (formerly known as Morandi bridge). A stretch of road around 700m long is being built, located between the left bank of the Polcevera and the freight railway line for the goods entering and leaving the port. For this, it is necessary to relocate the railway serving the port. A TFV 600 vertical drum cutter was selected for cropping the reinforced concrete piles that support the infrastructure and was provided by Zanetta Marino. A hydraulic breaker or pneumatic pilebreaker would usually be used for crushing a few piles. However, for this project neither of the two methods could be used. The piles are too close to each other for a pilebreaker to operate. Meanwhile, a breaker would not have delivered the productivity needed to crop more than 600 piles on the jobsite and would not have allowed the selective removal and pulverisation of the concrete.
