摘要: In accordance with the Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP), the top 5% of intersections have been identified by analyzing the frequency of intersection-related fatal or serious injury collisions per location. From 2004-2008 there were 370 intersections with 2 or more fatal or serious injury collisions. There were 19 intersections (5%) with 4 or more of these crashes. The top 5% of collision analysis locations and corridors have been identified by analyzing the frequency of fatal, serious, or evident injury collisions per location. Using 5 years of data, a Collision Analysis Location (CAL) or Collision Analysis Corridor (CAC) must have at least 4 fatal or serious injury crashes and 6 evident injury crashes (excluding locations that already have projects programmed). The CALs are one mile or less in length, the CACs are 5 miles in length.
