摘要：	Mrss Ahrabian, looking back over the past 18 months, could you describe in one word how the yachting industry has developed? Sandra Ahrabian: I am always careful with superlatives. But if I have to choose a term, I would choose »gigantic«. Since May/June 2020, we have experienced a real run on yachts of all categories, despite some economic uncertainty. I have never experienced anything like that in my career. Where does this »yacht hunger« come from? Ahrabian: Well, a yacht, no matter what size, seemed to be the ideal asset for many people in a pandemic that no one knew at the time how long it would last. It was bought, sometimes it seemed as if there was no tomorrow. Not only dealers of new yachts did good business, but also the second-hand market emptied quite quickly - even so-called »building sites« often found the next lover. We received a lot of enquiries and knew that the market was on the move. The fourth quarter of 2020 was one of the best ever for some brokers, followed by an even better first and second quarter of 2021. As a point of contact for many owners and traders -and one of the largest insurance brokers in yachting, we are, after all, a very accurate barometer of the industry.
