| 摘要： | Pickwick Lock and Dam's main lock chamber closed to navigation May 24 and has remained closed while the Corps of Engineers investigates a potential structural issue. According to a navigation notice, a dive inspection at the main chamber found the concern, prompting the unscheduled closure as a precaution. The Corps was investigating to determine whether a repair to the gate is needed or whether the lock can be returned to operation. The Corps Dive Team, stationed in Florence, Ala., and Pickwick Lock staff inspected both the upper and lower gates at the main lock. Mariners were asked to use the auxiliary lock to transit the area while the main chamber is closed. Pickwick Lock and Dam is located at Tennessee River Mile 206.7. |
