| 摘要： | After a long wait, the Inland Waterways Users Board (IWUB) has been reactivated and a full complement of members appointed or reappointed. An email from Mark Pointon, the designated federal officer and executive secretary of the IWUB, notified members of the board's reactivation. The IWUB was temporarily deactivated along with other federal advisory committees as the secretary of defense conducted a "zero-based review" of federal advisory committees early last year, soon after the inauguration of President Joe Biden. The IWUB is an advisory board established to monitor the Inland Waterways Trust Fund and to make recommendations to the Army and to Congress on investment priorities using re- sources from the fund. |
