When the curvature of a ships surface is large and the stern boundary layer is thick
the cross-stream inviscid velocity and pressure variation becomes important in stern
boundary layer computations.! The second momentum equation is of the form
where k is the curvature of the stern flow, which is different from the surface curvature of the body, u is the velocity along a streamline, p is the pressure, and p is the mass density of the fluid. Two viscous-inviscid interaction computation procedures are presented. One uses a marching technique in a natural streamline coordinate system together with the K-C turbulence model to solve the axisymmetric Reynolds-averaged
