摘要：	The purpose of this report is to document the new technologies and products evaluation processes and procedures, and to record the present new technologies and products data base items that are approved for use, not approved, or under review and being demonstrated in experimental projects. Within the New Jersey Department of Transportation, the New Technologies and Products section is responsible for identifying, reviewing, evaluating, and rapidly deploying new technologies, products, and innovations that add value, reduce costs, and enhance the quality of the transportation system. The program prepares specifications and standards, and approves proprietary products for use on construction, maintenance and other highway projects. The data base is a list of technologies, products and research being coordinated and evaluated by the New Technologies and Products section. The data base is compiled on the Microsoft Access program. The data base can be sorted by any field; queries and reports can be generated for any field. For review of data base, items are reported by highway related categories. The product status classifications are: (1) Approved Pending Baseline Document Change, (2) Approved Pending Compliance Testing, (3) Approved on a Job by Job Basis, (4) Not Approved, (5) Review, (6) Demo Project, (7) File Closed. The New Technologies and Products Review, Evaluation and Approval Process flow chart shows the four step process for technology and product evaluation. The current data base printout is shown.
