摘要: All Bridge decks both the Concrete and Steel are provided with wearing coats which are expected to be periodically "replaced" after their service life. The function of wearing coat on a bridge deck is different than a highway pavement in that it is supported on a relatively rigid base, to satisfy a number of requirements such as resistance to permanent deformation, texture depth, skid and ageing resistance, rigidity, evenness etc. It also must protect and seal the underlying supporting structure. For steel bridges additional requirements are protection against corrosion, sufficient adhesion between steel deck and waterproofing layer, resistance to shear forces and resistance to fatigue. It is well known that the wearing coats are subjected to both compressive and shear forces (due to breaking/acceleration) which necessitate usage of a non permeable and rigid top layer to satisfy the above requirements.
