| 摘要： | Micropiles are small diameter piles (less than 300 mm) being used since 1950s as foundation support elements for structures as well soil stabilization for prevention of landslides. They require relatively lesser space, relatively lesser drilling energy, and can be rapidly installed in difficult terrains. In this paper, an illustration of the role of micropiles in increasing the factor of safety of slope has been illustrated using HYRCAN software. Further, a brief overview of the design of vertical micropiles for slope stabilization has been presented based on FHWA (2005) guidelines. |
