Seakeeping is an important criterion to measure the performance of modern ship navigation, its pros and cons are directly related to the ship's livability and safety of navigation, designing and developing of a seakeeping good ship has been a goal.The axe bow ship is a new high performance ship emergent in recent years, its seakeeping performance is gradually been focused.The paper was based on an improved axe bow boat model's wave experiment, by using spectral analysis method to predict seakeeping performance of the ship in irregular wave, and then compare it with a conventional ship's data.It was found that the axe bow ship's pitching amplitude was reduced 37%, heave amplitude was reduced by 20%, and the amidships vertical acceleration was reduced by 68 %.These data fully explain that the axe bow boat has a good seakeeping.Forwardly, when Fr greater than 0.7, the resistance performance of the axe bow boat has some improvement compared to conventional ship. |
