To study the crack growth behavior of advanced high strength steels (AHSSs), crack growth tests were conducted with different AHSSs, including DP800, quenched boron steel and unquenched boron steel.Experimental results showed that crack growth in AHSSs can be categorized into three stages: crack initiation stage, stable growth stage and unstable growth stage.During the stable growth stage, there were only little differences among the crack growth rates of different AHSSs.Then, several crack propagation laws were analyzed to study the crack growth behavior.The results indicated that these laws depicted different crack growth stages, and the fitted curves could agree with experimental results in stable crack growth stage. |
