摘要:   Wide Distillation Fuel (WDF) refers to the fuels with a distillation range from initial boiling point (IBP) of gasoline to final boiling point (FBP) of diesel.Effects of gasoline research octane number (RON) and diesel cetane number (CN) on WDF low temperature combustion (LTC) were investigated on a direct injection diesel engine under moderate exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and injection pressure with two series of WDFs, one has different gasoline RONs and the other has different diesel CNs.The results indicated that gasoline RON shows little effects on WDFs with blending ratio of 50: 50; diesel CN has more profound effects on WDF LTC combustion than gasoline RON.High diesel CN can reduce ignition delay and improve heat release.WDFs with higher CN diesel have lower CO, THC emissions and higher thermal efficiency, while soot and NOx emissions are similar regardless of the diesel CN.
