An improved Articulation Index(AI)algorithm was presented for the first time to solve the defect of insufficient differ- ence discrimination of the traditional AI algorithms to the automotive acoustic wind tunnel wind noise performance in most conditions and most of the frequency bands. The wind noise test of a business car was finished under steady wind velocity conditions. The presented algo- rithm was successfully applied to the wind noise evaluation and contribution decomposition to Wind Aero Index Noise, Surface Increment Noise, Seal Increment Noise. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm was confirmed. |
