Complex finite element analysis of multi-layer steel cylinder head gasket sealing was performed on a four cylinder turbo-charged gasoline engine.Firstly,in order to get cylinder head and block temperature field,the fluid-structure coupling heat transfer analysis was carried out.Compared with the experimental results,the max error of temperature field is less than 6%.Secondly,the gas-ket sealing performance under room assembly,hot firing,cold firing,and deep cold firing conditions were analyzed,and the distribu-tion of full bead and half bead line load,full bead head lift were evaluated.The full bead line load was below the limit,so a new full bead structure of gasket was designed based on the simulation results,in which bore bead line load of improved gasket increased 40%.And the durability test results confirmed that a series of structural improvement measures are very effective.The analysis and test results show that the simulation can properly predict the gasket sealing performance,which is mainly depended on the gasket structure design such as bead,stopper structure and layout. |
