There are big differences for the side crash test between 2018CNCAP and 2015CNCAP.For the mass and the impact po-sition of the barrier are redefined,thus the intrusion displacement and velocity of the lateral parts will be influenced greatly.In order to ensure the performance of side impact under 2018 CNCAP,detailed works were done step by step.Firstly,side crash simulations were done under both 2015 and 2018 CNCAP to get the comparisons.Furthermore,correlations between the simulation and the test under 2018 were done.Based on the model with good correlation,optimizations for the structures and the materials of the lateral parts were car-ried out,especially for the B pillar reinforcement.In order to reduce the weight of the B pillar reinforcement,the Tailor Rolled Blanks(TRB)was adopted to replace the high strength & hot forming blanks with uniform thickness. |
