| 摘要： | The objectives of this research are to (1) obtain distributions of the probability of flow breakdown as a function of short-term demand for as many general types of sections and specific sections as possible reflecting the expected range of geometric and traffic conditions and (2) develop procedures that use these probability distributions to develop optimal metering rates for any given system objectives and constraints (e.g., to maximize system throughput). |
