项目说明：	May 2021 - IRCON invites bids for supply of Electronic Interlocking system for the Dharam - Qazigund section; December 2020 - Northern Railways completed the 111 km Katra - Banihal section of the line; September 2020 - Larsen & Toubro (L&T) to provide and install electrical and mechanical systems for two tunnels in the Katra Dharam section; May 2020 - Katra-Banihal section of project to be completed by December 2021; April 2019 - Work has been stalled on Chenab bridge after differences between Konkan Railway Corporation and Afcons; December 2018 - Project faced cost overrun of INR254.46bn (USD3.6bn); July 2016 - Hindustan Construction Company won INR17.5bn (USD260mn) contract for construction of T13 and T14 tunnels on rail line; Project includes construction of rail line from Jammu to Baramulla via Udhampur, Katra and Qazigund; Project to be carried out in multiple sections, 11 km Qazigund-Banihal tunnel section, 25 km Udhampur-Katra section, the 129 km Katra-Quazigund section and the 119 km Quazigund-Baramulla section; Project cost - INR279.46bn (USD3958.74mn)
