February 2017 - Orion wrapped up Bayport Channel Dredging while Barbours Cut channel was completed in 2015 and total cost for permitting, design and construction was done for approximately USD85mn; June 2014 - Dredging has begun on the first of two projects to deepen the Port of Houston’s container terminal channels from 40 to 45 feet, matching the depth of the Houston Ship Channel, Barbours Cut terminal is being dredged first, both Barbours Cut and Bayport are being expanded and modernized to handle larger post-Panamax ships as well as the channels to the terminals will be widened or realigned by up to 100 feet |
