| 摘要： | The overall objective of this Major Research Initiative (MRI 2) was to use traffic simulation models, driving simulators, and field data to better understand causes of traffic crashes and assess selected countermeasures to enhance the safety of the public. The University of Central Florida (UCF) focus of the MRI 2 is related to pedestrian safety and the conflict between turning vehicular traffic and crossing pedestrians is the joint activities between UCF and University of Kentucky. The objective of this report is to document the needed field data and summarize the data collection process. The data collected in the field will be used in the next phase of the project to develop, calibrate, and validate the VISSIM and SSAM simulation. |
